Course

Terrain: Majority single track with a plush carpet of pine needles and remainder fire road. Entirely runnable with rolling hills totalling around 4,400 ft elevation gain for the 50k and 2,200 ft for the 25k.

Route: The 50k will complete an outer loop first and then an inner loop. The 25k will just follow the inner loop.

Aid Stations: Unless otherwise noted, aid stations include water, electrolyte drink, energy food, and other typical items. Drop bags will be allowed at the Start/Finish area where 50k runners pass through near the halfway point (mile 16).

Aid Station A: junction of Jethro’s Trail and Road 300
25K – mile 5.7 (A.S. #1)
50k – mile 10.3 and 21.3 (A.S. #2, A.S. #4) 

Aid Station B: junction of John’s Trail and Road 600
25k – mile 10.4 (A.S. #2)
*50k – mile 4.9, mile 26 (A.S. #1, A.S. #5)
*water only stop at mile 4.9, 50ft from Aid Station B where Big Springs Trail hits Road 600

Aid Station C: Start/Finish area, serves 50k ONLY
50k only – mile 16 (A.S. #3)

 

Cutoffs: For the 50k, there is a 4.5 hour cut-off at the 25k Aid Station and a 9 hour cutoff for an official finish time. There is no cutoff for the 25k event.
