Boggs Mountain State Forest is located about 2 hours north of San Francisco and 35 minutes north of Calistoga. From Calistoga take Hwy 29 to Middletown and then make a left on Hwy 175. One mile past central Cobb and 9.5 miles from Middletown, make a right turn (immediately after passing a blue sign on Hwy 175 that says “CDF Fire Station”) into the Forest (Forest Road 500). To reach the camping and start/finish area, continue straight on this main road past the park headquarters for about 1.6 miles.
